About Ahmed Barabbud
I'm Ahmed Barabbud — an IT and ERP leader, software engineer, and PMP-certified consultant based in Riyadh. For more than eight years I've done three things that usually take three different people: I build the systems, I lead the delivery, and I advise the business on what to change. That's the whole point — I don't hand a strategy to someone else to build, and I don't write code without owning the result.
I didn't start at the top. I began in customer service, taught myself to code, moved into software development, and grew into running the entire digital and operational backbone of a scaling multi-branch group. Every step added scope: from fixing one process, to building one system, to owning the platform a whole business runs on.
At Mawan I led a digital transformation that replaced paper and spreadsheets with a custom, integrated ERP — and the numbers were real: 40% faster order processing, 30% higher production efficiency, and the backbone behind 120% revenue growth across an expansion into Riyadh, Jeddah, and the factory. Beyond a single project, I run delivery as a portfolio across the parent company, its sister companies, and a real-estate arm, with PMP discipline: clear scope, KPIs, RACI, and managed risk.
And I stay close to the work. I architected the hybrid cloud the group runs on, designed a fair workload-distribution algorithm for the factory floor, and built the Power BI dashboards leadership uses to decide. I've also shipped products of my own — SaaS for airline crew scheduling, restaurant ordering, and turning spreadsheets into secure APIs — so I know what it takes to build, launch, and run software, not just specify it.
What ties it together is a simple belief: companies rarely fail for lack of effort — they fail for lack of a system. My job is to find where the effort leaks, design the system that fixes it, and deliver it end to end.
